Tuition and Fees

• Tuition is a semester fee. It indicates a commitment to study for the academic semester.
• For your convenience, there are two payment options: by the semester or over the first three months of a given semester. To see how these payment options look see my Studio Policies here. Please feel to contact me with any questions.

• There are two semesters: September to December, January to May.
• Payments are made before the first lesson of the semester.
• Payments can be made by cash or check only.
• There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee/student due at the time of registration. It holds your spot in the studio and goes toward books, materials and activities throughout the year.
• Students that participate in optional activities such as festivals and competitions will have a small extra fee that the parent/student would cover. Parents are notified in advance of any activity that would include a fee.

• Monthly payments are made at or before the first lesson of the month. Late payments incur a 10% late fee after the 5th day of the month.
• The monthly payment amount is divided evenly between the first three months of the semester.

Piano lessons are organized into two semesters. Students will receive private as well as group lessons and will be given multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. Group lessons provide opportunities to create and share music with our peers. Each lesson will have a specific focus like composition, theory, performance and music history. Group lessons take the place of private lessons for the week. There are no other lessons scheduled for the week and no make up lessons for a missed group.

Please note: There are no reimbursements for missed lessons. Tuition is not adjusted unless the teacher cannot provide the promised number of lessons.

Recitals offer students a great sense of accomplishment and pride for their hard work. Recitals help students learn the importance of setting and achieving goals. There will be two scheduled studio recitals per year. Other playing opportunities may become available during the year and be scheduled.

Wisconsin Music Teachers Association holds annual Auditions at UW-Oshkosh for students grade 1-12. Auditions can be a rewarding experience for those students interested. This is not a studio requirement.
